All set. It will be hot today & Tue, with a much-appreciated onshore breeze cooling things down to a pleasant temperature range on Wed; that marine air-conditioning will hold on through the balance of the week. We had expected temps to rapidly ramp up this coming weekend, July 25-26, but now that looks delayed until the following week. The pleasant temps the later half of this week are likely to extend through Sunday. Regionally, it will remain DRY, except for far-eastern OR & ID late Wed/Thu (SW flow, with thunderstorms possible). The last week of July is trending WARMER than this week, with Mon & Tue July 27,28 in the 90s, maybe 100 in Medford area (that delayed heat-up mentioned above). While we do see another onshore play next week, models hint that it may have less of a cooling apsect, hence our forecast of rather warm temps (lots of mid-upper 80s, cooler Puget Sound north) July 27-31. A repetitive pattern for moisture rolling in over eastern OR, ID & MT from the desert SW by Thu the 29th is also charted. Those storm cells may dump a lot of rain fast, so campers/hikers must beware. Watch the sky. Onshore flow should usher in August, so expect temps will, again, tap down from the previous week, yielding a very pleasant weekend, Aug 1,2. Morning marine clouds, gentle breeze. Overall, a classic up & down summer temp forecast.
